Somewhere after my 45th birthday, I realized I was slowly and consistently putting on weight. Virtually nothing but my age had changed. I was practicing yoga regularly and eating moderately but I was now having trouble keeping off the weight.
So, after 18 years of a regular yoga practice (with no incorporated cardio exercise), I decided it was time to introduce a little heart-pumping activity into my routine.
Enter Orangetheory, a full-body workout focused on 5 heart rate zones. Outside of being an awesome workout, it feels a bit like a nightclub inside, dark with low, orange (of course) lighting and very loud music.
They play quite a diverse set of tunes and it reminded me of some of my personal favorites.
In no particular order, I thought I’d share the songs that power me up during a workout and make me feel alive!
